SUMMER IS HERE!!!

The newest addition to the Mattson Family!! We FINALLY have a swingset! The kiddos are in heaven. The swingset is done, but the landscaping project is still underway. We will be so glad to have it complete!! We miss our yard and our outdoor playtime! It is just to hard with all the workers and trucks to be out there right now. Hopefully by Friday! YEAH!! Off to her last day of kindergarten!! What a rainy morning:) Owen was so excited that Ellie was going to her last day of school, he LOVES to have her home! They play together pretty well, most of the time. Don't mind Owen's shirt tucked into his jammie pants, now that he is potty trained, he comes out of the bathroom looking pretty dorky sometimes! He just takes care of business all on his own. I am NOT complaining about this. We told him we could finally start saving for him to go to college now that he is out of diapers! Seriously, after 1 1/2 years of two in diapers, we are ready for a break!!!

I can hardly believe she is done with Kindergarten?! Where did the school year go? She has come so far in a year. She loves to read to the boys, set up art projects for Owen, draw, journal, and has mastered the monkey bars (a sure sign of a true kindergartener). She loves to do work-book pages, so it wasn't too hard to do a little summer school with her today. Owen enjoys working on his 'work books' as well and even Connor insisted on 'color'. The kids are just growing up too quickly!

Ellie is officially on Summer break! YEAH!! We are all glad to have our little girl back home. Her brothers missed her tons while she was away at school. She is now a first grader! So hard for us to believe. It seems just like yesterday I was sending her away on the bus for the first time - where did the school year go?! We had a great first day of summer break. She loves doing work book pages, so it wasn't hard to have her do a little practicing! She has come so far in a year, we can hardly believe it. She reads to the boys, sets up art projects for Owen and Connor adores her more than anyone!!
It was a very rainy morning as I sent her off for her last day of kindergarten. Owen was so excited his sissy was going to be home with him more. Don't mind his shirt tucked into his jammie pants, now that he is potty trained, he often comes out of the bathroom looking a little dorky!! I won't complain, I am just SO GLAD he is finally done with diapers!! YEAH!!

She is a little leary about first grade, but I know she will love it once she goes back. She did admit she missed school a little bit today:)
